I bought this generously sized Topshop silk dress when I was pregnant and it served me well for warmer days and events. I find it a little too loose now so I have belted it with a length of grosgrain ribbon from John Lewis. It’s very low cut, so instead of flashing my bra at all and sundry, I popped on a fitted vest. Effortless dressing.

Happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful mum! Here we are through the baby years, primary school, teens and twenties. We have our ups and downs but share a love of beautiful clothes, colour, history, stately homes, The National Trust, black and white films plus tea, cake and chocolate. Here’s to all the mothers out there. I’m lucky to still have mine with me but I’m sending my love to everyone who has lost theirs or for whom today is difficult. X

Firstly, I wanted to say a big thank you to all the new followers who have joined recently AND to those that have journeyed with me from the start! This picture was taken half way through the shoot I’m working on for my new fashion platform ( more to come on this SOON!) I’ve spent most of my time working solo on the new business - which has really been 28 years in the making. 28 years immersed in the mad world of fashion. As I prepare for the second half of my shoot this week, I’ve realised what a huge support the lovely @harrietelton has been in helping me organise and execute the shoot. How much it means to have a brilliant team of experts @shootthecompany to lean on and the super talented @njstillwell helping me bring this project to life. With make-up by the super calm and skilled @catcrawford_mua and the use of @jetstudios - not only for the large and airy studio space -but the utterly delicious lunches we were served! Here’s to another set of beautiful videos with my ‘real women’ models and a very happy weekend to you all x
