If you are ever stuck for inspiration, and need to look chic, you cannot go wrong with the combination of cream and black. I much prefer it to white and black as it’s less stark. Choose a cream top and wear with a black bottom or vice versa whichever you fancy. All the clothes are by Margaret Howell except the French lace scarf. I bought a length of it from the wonderful ladies in Liberty’s haberdashery department. Even if you are not someone who sews (as I am not) you could happily while away an hour or two just looking at all they have to offer. I challenge you to come out empty handed.
